When you place an online order with Kezer Corporation, you
are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. For your safety,
make sure you read all our policies before placing an order.
|
| |
|
| |
TIMING |
| |
|
| |
Turnaround times begin ONLY when: |
| |
1. Full Payment has been placed with the order.
2. You have provided all the necessary specifications for the print job
3. All files have been correctly submitted.
4. You have approved an email or press proof and have given the ‘green
light’ to proceed with production |
| |
|
| |
The job will be scheduled with the pre-press production department
immediately after order placement. Orders must be submitted by 4 p.m.
Eastern Standard Time to be considered to be placed that business day.
Orders placed after 4 p.m. will be considered placed on the subsequent
business day. A proof will be forwarded to you the next business day
after order placement. |
| |
| |
If a proof is furnished later than the next business day, print
production will be expedited to make up for lost time. If your
submission of files delays proofing, Kezer Corporation
is under no obligation to expedite print production. In this case, late
proof delivery will not be considered grounds for job cancellation. |
| |
|
| |
Although Kezer Corporation Print Vendors
follow strict equipment maintenance programs and rarely miss production
schedules, unexpected malfunctions and technical problems can
occasionally delay the printing and pre-press process. Kezer Corporation
will always act to make sure that any production difficulties do not
delay delivery schedules. |
| |
|
| |
In case of delay caused by technical difficulty, rush fees will be
waived or refunded, however technical difficulty will not be grounds for
cancellation. If you cannot use printed material due to missed deadline,
a credit will be issued. Refunds will not be issued, with the exception
of rush fees. |
| |
| |
Kezer Corporation is not liable for any delay
caused by Federal Express, UPS, or any other commercial shipping
service. |
| |

PROOFING, COLOR MATCHING & PRINT QUALITY |
| |
|
| |
Kezer Corporation does not guarantee color matching
or ink density on JPEG or PDF screen proofs. Screen proofs will predict
text accuracy, image proportion and placement, but not color or density.
Because of differences in equipment, paper, inks, and other conditions
between color proofing and production pressroom operations, a reasonable
variation in color between color proofs and the completed job is to be
expected. When variation of this kind occurs, it will be considered
acceptable performance. |
| |
|
| |
A match-print color proof guarantees a reasonable
likeness to the final printed pieces. While a match print will
accurately predict color, screen pattern and dot placement, a reasonable
variation between the match print and the final printed piece is to be
expected. When variations of this kind occur, it will be considered
acceptable performance.
Only a press proof will represent the final print job with one hundred
per cent accuracy and no variation. You must be present at a
Kezer Corporation Local Print Vendor during press proof
make-ready. Press proofs will be billed at the rate of $250.00 per press
set up. |
| |
|
| |
Any press time lost or alterations/corrections made because of the
customer’s delay or change of mind will be charged at Kezer's current
rate. |
| |
|
| |
You must provide high-resolution images suited to the offset
printing process. Kezer Corporation is not liable for
images printing as bit maps when this is caused by customers providing
low-resolution images. |
| |
|
| |
Customers must provide all color printing images in CMYK format.
Kezer Corporation is not responsible for any color
shift that occurs in conversions from RGB to CMYK color modes. |
| |
|
| |
Trapping is a design function. We will set trapping if we design
your documents or if you ask us to do so. Otherwise, Kezer
will assume you have trapped the file correctly. Incorrect trapping will
not be grounds for a redo or cancellation unless Kezer
has set trapping. |
| |
|
| |
While Kezer Corporation will respect the gradient
density of each color in a duo-tone, we are not liable for the final
appearance of a duo-tone unless you order a press proof. |
| |
|
| |
Text smaller than ten points created in Photoshop may print in a
pixilated or bit-mapped manner. In such instances Kezer
Corporation will not be held liable for bit-mapped
text. To avoid this it is best to use programs such as Quark Express or
Adobe Illustrator to create text. Ordering a match print proof will
predict whether bitmap text is a potential problem. |
| |
|
| |
Full color jobs that contain large solid areas of black ink should
have the black set up as CMYK black. Kezer Corporation will not be
liable for printing a consistent, solid and rich black if you have not
done so. |
| |
|
| |
Any re-print request for either defective printing or insufficient
quantity must be submitted in writing and within five business days of
receipt of merchandise. |

to print anything he or she deems illegal, libelous, scandalous,
improper, or infringing upon copyright law. |

represent the actual work performed. |
| |
|
| |
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties |
| |
Kezer Corporation warrants only that the work will conform to the
description contained in the purchase order. Kezer Corporation's maximum
liability, whether by negligence, contract, or otherwise, will not
exceed the amount specified in the contract. Under no circumstances will
Kezer Corporation be liable for specific, individual, or consequential
damages. |
| |
|
| |
Taxes |
| |
All amounts due for taxes and assessments and are the responsibility
of the client. No tax exemption will be granted unless the customer's
"Exemption Certificate" (or other official proof of exemption)

COLOR DISCLAIMERS |
| |
ATTENTION: IF YOUR PRINT JOB IS COLOR CRITICAL a request for a
Matchrpint® or Digital Color Proof must be submitted along with your
job. COLOR CRITICAL should also be specified when submitting the job(s).
Prices for print jobs that are printed in gang run format differ from
prices of color critical jobs which need to be printed by them selves as
opposed to being printed on a gang run.
A gang run is a way of printing jobs for clients which brings there cost
down tremendously by printing several print jobs together on the same
print run. If a job is color critical then the necessary attention it
needs cannot be attained in a gang run format. Therefore the job must be
printed by itself losing the discounted price of printing in a gang run
format. Color Critical Jobs require a dedicated run and the press be
calibrated to run that specific job only rather than a gang run with
other print jobs.
If you submit a job and do not request a Color Digital Proof, your
job(s) will be printed as is. Kezer Corporation will not be liable for
color disparity or variation with the job (within Gang Run Color
Disclaimer). If a color proof is chosen by the customer then it will be
Kezer Corporation's responsibility to match that proof and job will be
printed accordingly. Kezer Corporation will make every effort to match
the colors of your submitted art work; whether your job is color
critical or not. Kezer Corporation will treat each job as if it were our
own. It is you- the client’s- responsibility to determine whether or not
the job is a color critical job and please choose your method of print
accordingly. |

LAYING OUT YOUR DOCUMENT |
| |
The outer 1/8" edge of the artwork is considered a “safety area”
that is utilized for cutting. No important images or text should be
placed within this area. Although an 1/8 of inch is the minimum, we
strongly recommend you use a 1/4 inch (.25). |
| |
|
| |
REMEMBER!!! |
| |
Any business card or postcard you purchase from Kezer Corporation
needs to be cut out of a bigger sheet before we ship it to you. This
means that a Postcard (4.25 x 5.5) will have to be trimmed down when
cut. The end result will be a product which is roughly 4.125 x 5.375.
This is true of all of our sizes except Business Cards, which actually
trim true to size at 3.5 x 2, and specialty jobs. If you are not clear
on our cutting process please call a Customer Service representative for
further explanation |
